I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for twenty years (five years in a public school, five years home-schooling, and ten years at FBCS). It is a joy and privilege to teach in a Christian school.
I became a Christian, at the age of nineteen, after a friend shared the gospel with me. I had always believed in God and I grew up attending church. I thought that being a good person and going to church was enough to get me into heaven. I had never heard that I was a sinner who needed a Savior. After my friend shared the truth that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead I prayed and asked God to forgive my sins. I put my trust in Christ alone to save me from the penalty my sins deserved (hell). I was baptized that year and joined a church where I heard the Bible preached clearly and accurately. It was there that I grew to love God more and wanted to live my life to bring glory to Him.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for twenty-two years and we have three children: one a college freshmen and two who attend school at FBCS (a senior and a sophomore).
I’m looking forward to a wonderful year with this group of Kindergartners!
